16 October 2014

The Hi-Tech Park resident-company Game Stream with the support from the Minsk Zavodskoy district administration opened a modern computer lab in the Palace of Children and Youth Zolak.

Studios for children of the Minsk Zavodskoy district will be organized in the lab, where they also will be able to study computer and information technologies. It is also planned to conduct seminars and training sessions for school and university teachers dedicated to the use of computer technology in the educational process.

"The Administration of the Palace of Children and Youth Zolak expresses its gratitude to Game Stream for giving to children of our district the opportunity to use a modern computer lab. In the nearest future, we are planning to open a studio Videomir where children will be able to study the basics of computer graphics and develop creative projects," noted Natalia Sichkova, Head of the Information, Public Relations and Promotions Department of the Minsk Palace of Children and Youth Zolak.

The company emphasized that support for children and youth centers is as important as co-operation with universities since information technology has become a part of the modern world and hence the younger generation should know the basics of information technology, regardless of what profession they will choose in the future.

"It is important for a person to have a possibility from an early age to understand the potential of information technology and learn at least fundamentals which inevitably will have a positive impact in the future while working in any sphere or economic sector of Belarus. Therefore, it is gratifying that we have an opportunity to help in acquiring computers and other equipment for palaces of children and youth, centers of technical creativity and other similar organizations, where children – those who, without exaggeration, will determine our country’s future – make their first steps," said Victor Novochadov,Director of Game Stream.
