For reference:

Software 500 is the ranking of the world’s largest software and services companies published annually by Software Magazine since 1982. In its 31st year, the ranking is based on companies revenue in 2012 including software license and service revenue, as well as revenue from training and consulting. Only software-related revenue is taken into account, though a lot of companies operate in other business sectors and may have larger total revenue.
