The US Chargé d’Affaires visits Hi-Tech Park

The Director of Hi-Tech Park, Vsevolod Yanchevsky, met with the US Charge d'Affaires, Jeffrey Giauque. In the course of the conversation, a wide range of issues of the Belarusian-American cooperation in the field of IT and high technologies was discussed.

Jeffrey Giauque noted that the American side supports active development of Hi-Tech Park and growing amount of American companies in HTP. During the meeting, it was pointed out that favorable business environment and stable legal regime are crucial for American business in Belarus and are important factors for future investments and enhancing cooperation.

Vsevolod Yanchevsky and Jeffrey Giauque stated that the business contacts developed in Hi-Tech Park also contribute to the development of bilateral cooperation in other sectors of economy.

The United States of America is the largest market and investor for HTP. Export of HTP companies to the United States reached $816 million in 9 months 2020. At the end of 2019, export exceeded $945 million, which amounted to 43% of the total exports of HTP residents. Today more than 70 companies with American investments work in HTP.
