When technology saves hearts: Hi-Tech Park at the III International Congress "Innovative Cardiology"

9 October 2026

The III International Congress "Innovative Cardiology" is being held in Minsk. The two-day forum, organized by the Republican Clinical Medical Center with the support of the Ministry of Health, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Hi-Tech Park, brought together leading cardiologists, cardiac surgeons and IT specialists from Belarus, Russia, China, India and other countries.

The congress, dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Republican Clinical Medical Center, focuses on innovative scientific developments and clinical practices in the field of high-tech methods of diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular pathology.

Digital technology arrives where every second counts

Medicine is a field where innovation is not merely desirable but critically necessary. As noted by Anna Ryabova, Head of the Secretariat of HTP, "medicine is the field most receptive to innovation." According to her, this is precisely where digitalization meets the least resistance, because what is at stake is people's health and lives. "We see the pace at which digital development is advancing in medicine. It affects cardiology, diagnostics, pharmacology and rehabilitation," she emphasized, adding that Hi-Tech Park will continue to support joint projects with the healthcare system.

Exhibition that looks into the future

The center of attention at the congress was the exhibition of innovative developments, in which Hi-Tech Park resident companies also took part. What is presented here is not abstract ideas but ready-made products capable of helping doctors already today.

The company "Smart DNA Technologies" demonstrates DNA and RNA analyzers based on nanosensor technologies that enable fast and accurate diagnostics. "InDev Solutions" presents a specialized medical messenger for remote patient monitoring, while "SqilSoft" showcases the AI surgical assistant "AURIKA," which helps medical professionals perform minimally invasive heart and vascular surgeries.

Also drawing interest is the development by the company "Sensotronika" – a system for round-the-clock monitoring of patients in intensive care units based on AI video analytics. It not only monitors awakening after anesthesia and prevents falls but also records medical staff entering and exiting, creating a fully controlled environment.

HTP resident "Atomicus" demonstrates its competencies in medical information systems, telemedicine and AI/ML diagnostics. The company "Future Reality" presents the "Virtual Patient" – an innovative development created in accordance with the clinical protocols of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus with integrated AI modules. "FOTEK" showcases laser instruments for surgery, and "AlgoBrains Solutions" presents a prototype of a national histological slide scanner.

The floor goes to practitioners

The business program of the congress is not limited to theory – it features presentations focused on real practice. Among the participants are HTP residents, their partners and practicing physicians.

In particular, the AI doctor's assistant project by "SkillSoft" was presented during the "Interventional Cardiology" section by Yana Sagun, a practicing endovascular surgeon from the Lida Central District Hospital. The request for the tool was formulated by cardiologists themselves – the HTP resident acted as the developer.

For many years of partnership, substantial contribution to the work of the congress and digital solutions that are changing cardiology, Hi-Tech Park received a commemorative award from the Republican Clinical Medical Center.

At the plenary session, Roman Gromov, co-founder of "AlgoBrains Solutions," raised an important topic: evaluating the effectiveness of using large language models (LLMs) in medicine. He spoke about the challenges, results and recommendations for the use of artificial intelligence in clinical practice, which resonated strongly with the audience.

A partnership proven by results

The organizers of the congress note the importance of HTP's contribution to the development of high-tech medicine. Professor Irina Abelskaya, Chief of the Republican Clinical Medical Center, emphasized that the success of treatment today often depends on the joint work of specialists from different fields, and digital technologies are an integral part of this. She recalled that the congress was organized by the Republican Clinical Medical Center together with the Ministry of Health, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus and Hi-Tech Park.

The problem of cardiovascular diseases is a multidisciplinary problem. And in order to choose the right direction, a team program and a team approach must be at work.

Today, Hi-Tech Park hosts an entire cluster of companies with proven experience in medicine. Their developments – from rapid DNA tests to VR rehabilitation – show that the Belarusian IT industry is capable of creating competitive products for high-tech medicine. And this congress is another step toward ensuring that technology and clinical practice speak the same language.
