Belarus improves its positions in the Global Innovation Index 2021

Belarus moved up 2 positions and was ranked 62th in the Global Innovation Index 2021. This research is annually published by the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), which is part of the UN structure.

Over one year Belarus improved its positions across several categories.  Belarus jumped from the 46th to the 37th position in Knowledge and technology outputs, from the 97th to the 93th place in Creative outputs.

Belarus went up 4 positions to reach the 11th place worldwide in ICT services exports. The country also moved up from 19th to 16th line in ICT access.

At the same time Belarus remains the world’s leader in Mobile app creation.

The Global Innovation Index is the research which includes ranking of countries in terms innovation development. It has been conducted since 2007 as part of the joint project of the International Business School INSEAD (France), Cornell University and the WIPO.
