Rwanda Shows Interest in Belarusian Experience of Developing an IT Ecosystem
Hi-Tech Park was visited by Joseph Nzabamwita, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Rwanda to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus (concurrently). The diplomat arrived in Minsk to take part in the ceremony of presenting his credentials.
During the visit, the guest was familiarized with the Park's activities, the legal conditions of operation, as well as examples of unique solutions developed by resident companies. The Rwandan side showed interest in solutions for the construction sector, the financial sector, e-government and other industries – this directly correlates with the vector toward digital transformation that is currently being consistently implemented in Rwanda.
In their presentation, representatives of the Park noted the unique experience accumulated at HTP in building an innovation ecosystem and creating favorable conditions for the development of IT business and innovative entrepreneurship. "This experience is of considerable interest, and we see great potential for studying and adapting it," summarized the Rwandan side, emphasizing its interest in establishing contacts between HTP residents and potential customers from Rwanda.
During the negotiations, the interlocutors confirmed their readiness to continue exploring opportunities for interaction in various formats and discussed prospects for developing bilateral cooperation in the high-tech sector.
