HTP and Indian Embassy Outline Promising Areas of Cooperation in the Digital Sphere
Hi-Tech Park hosted a meeting between Anna Ryabova, Head of Hi-Tech Park, and Ashok Kumar, Ambassador of India to Belarus.
The parties discussed current trends in the global IT market and prospects for bilateral interaction amid the rapid development of artificial intelligence technologies.
Anna Ryabova noted that India remains one of the largest players in the global IT industry; however, the spread of AI tools is making the traditional model of large-scale outsourcing increasingly vulnerable, while consumer demands are becoming more complex and individualized. In this regard, a format of collaboration focused on jointly entering third countries could prove advantageous for Belarus and India.
The Head of Hi-Tech Park emphasized that a strong engineering school remains Belarus's competitive advantage. In conditions where AI automates the performance of standard programming tasks, the value of deep competencies and the ability to generate new ideas increases – precisely the qualities that have traditionally distinguished Belarusian engineers.
For his part, Ambassador of India Ashok Kumar agreed that the artificial intelligence market today is highly competitive; however, this does not preclude, but on the contrary stimulates, the complementarity of the parties. In his opinion, joint work in the markets of SCO and EAEU countries could become a promising area of cooperation. The diplomat also emphasized that the Indian Embassy is ready to provide the necessary assistance in developing bilateral initiatives.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in deepening practical interaction and agreed on further steps in the identified areas.
