Being developed in Korea, creative economy enters the global market through cooperation with Belarus, a leader in software development from Eastern Europe.

To enhance Belarus-Korea cooperation in the ICT sphere, the Korean government initiated the creation of an Information Access Center at the Hi-Tech Park, the Belarusian Silicon Valley. The opening ceremony was held on September 24, 2014.

The HTP is the Mecca of the IT industry in Belarus, with 138 IT companies registered as its residents. The Belarusian government has been active in attracting foreign investment recently. In this context, the cooperation with Korea, a worldТs leader in the ICT sphere, is of great significance to the country. 

According to Jiyoung Min who prepared a research paper on Korea-Belarus Cooperation in the ICT sphere last year, "Belarus has not just high potential in the ICT shpere but also competitive salaries and prices and is, therefore, attractive to Korean companies interested in entering neighboring markets." 

The opening ceremony was attended by Choi Yanghee, Minister of Science, ICT and Future Planning of the Republic of Korea.
