Getting mature. Residents of HTP and BSUIR held a seminar on the CMMI model

Issues of development and implementation of the CMMI family of models were discussed by residents of the High-Tech Park and Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radio Electronics during a joint seminar held on October 9.

The key question of the seminar was to increase the efficiency of the software development and maintenance processes using CMMI.

The CMMI model is widely known and popular in the world. The year 2017 set a new record in the number of assessments - procedures for official confirmation of compliance with the levels of maturity of the model. At the moment there is the whole family of CMMI models dedicated to different aspects and activities: for Development, For Services and for Acquisition. In addition, the People-CMM model dedicated to managing the development of skills and knowledge of employees of organizations is related. Version 1.3 of the model appeared relatively long ago (more than 8 years ago) and at the end of March of this year a new version 2.0 of the CMMI model was published.

The workshop participants studied in detail the practice of using version 1.3 of the model, as well as innovations of version 2.0, exchanged their knowledge and received answers to their questions.

The seminar was held in the framework of joint educational activities conducted by the HTP with a leading IT university.
