Entering University 2017: HTP Held a Traditional Meeting With High School Students

On June 19, the Hi-Tech Park held an annual meeting with high school students planning to continue their studies in information technology and related subjects.


Today, jobs in IT companies are believed to be the most money-making. Many young people choose IT careers to make easy money. This misapprehension often leads to huge disappointment.

There were deans and students of Belarusian universities as well as HTP employees to help high school students understand the benefits and challenges of the IT world, reveal perspectives and give some advice.

Also, a new e-guide for high school students willing to major in information technology was presented at the meeting. The guide features stories of admission, university years and career success from students, graduates, and professionals. The edition explains what myths exist in the world of information technology, how to find your way there, and how much IT professionals earn, and answers many other questions. The guide contains a catalog of the major IT faculties of Belarusian universities, including admission scores for the recent years. Click the link to download the guide.

The participants of the meeting, high school students and their parents, could ask their questions to HTP employees their questions, deans and students of the Belarusian State University, the Belarusian National Technical University, the Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, and the Belarusian State Technological University. Representatives of the Hi-Tech Park Ц Director at New IT Outsource Alexey Shorkin and Project Manager at Oxagile Annna Maltseva advised how to become demanded professionals and what to pay attention at when studying at university.
