On May 27, HTP business incubator held an IT-hackaton for high school students.
The participants were given tasks to solve actual environmental problems. During the hackathon they demonstrated excitement, hunger for knowledge and desire to proof themselves as well as creativity, ability to work in teams and to pitch their ideas. After 2 hours of intensive work 8 projects were created some of which were interesting and unusual in terms of maintaining clean ecology in Belarus.
The jury named «Leaf» as the best project of the hackathon. «Leaf» is a service that offers people to plant and clean streets of the city while receiving various bonuses: for example, stickers for instant messengers.
Among runner-ups are "Green Road" – a chat-bot that selects the most environmentally friendly route for a trip – and the "Ruble from the Urn" – a service that pays its users for disposing garbage. The winners received prizes from the Association «Education for the future» and company-resident HTP "Exadel".
IT-hackathon was organized by High Tech Park and the information-educational institution "Information Technologies for All".
