Dave Waiser, CEO and Founder of a global ridesharing service Gett, visited Belarus Hi-Tech Park and met with HTP Director Vsevolod Yanchenvsky. They discussed the development of the service and implementation of AI technologies in Belarus.
The prominent player in the global transportation services market has recently acquired Juno (HTP resident company) with Minsk-based development center. Juno was tested in New York and became one of the most popular services among passengers there. The project was launched two years ago by founders of Viber, a well-known messaging and VoIP app developed in Belarus, Igor Magazinik and Talmon Marco. Today, largest global corporations trust services by Gett and Juno.
Dave Waiser, Founder & CEO at Gett: "Juno has reached great results for a very short period of time due to talents you have here. We would like to strengthen the technological capital that we now have here, and further develop it. Today we have development centers in different countries, and Belarus provides very fortunate opportunities for enhancing and developing the technological capital."
Vsevolod Yanchevsky, HTP Director: "It is a very good sign for our country. A very good sign for the Hi-Tech Park. The most important thing that we have discussed today is that with the company we will get not only capital, not only investment but new ideas, new technologies. Belarus may be in the heart of the technological changes that are occurring in the world, and this is of the greatest significance."
