The second stage of the Programming in Scratch contest started on March 25.
This year, 481 school students from all regions of Belarus sent their projects to compete in the contest Ц 1.6 times as high as last year.

During the second stage of the contest, the judges are to review all the projects and select 8 finalists in each category.
The list of finalists will be published on April 3.
The finals, including open presentation of projects will be held in Orsha on April 8.
The winners will be awarded diplomas and prizes.

The contest is initiated to encourage school students' interest in studying information technologies, teach them to think creatively and systematically and inspire to get ICT professions.
The contest is organized by the Hi-Tech Park, the Education Department of the Vitebsk Region Executive Committee, and the Department of Education, Sport and Tourism of the Orsha District Executive Committee.
Scratch is a visual programming language used to teach school children to code computer programs. Scratch is currently free and available to everyone.
