On April 2, 2009 Mr. Nasser Al-Muzayan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus visited the Administration of Belarus Hi-Tech Park.

During the negotiations Mr. Nasser Al-Muzayan stated that Kuwait is the third largest IT market of the Persian Gulf region.

At present programs targeted at informatization of governmental authorities, including e-government projects, are being actively implemented in Kuwait. All these measures provide for automation of the documentation workflow between public institutions, companies and private individuals, help to reduce the time of decision-making, make the information about the work of public institutions more available for citizens and significantly decrease the rate of corruption.

Director of the Administration of Belarus Hi-Tech Park Mr. Valery Tsepkalo presented solutions of HTP resident-companies in the field of e-government and automation of public services. These solutions had been already successfully implemented in CIS countries and may be implemented in Kuwait in the future.

During the presentation about Belarus Hi-Tech Park the distinguished guest was acquainted with the development of the IT sector in the Republic of Belarus, with the Park’s special legal status and the prospects of its development.
