On November 9, 2007 Hi-Tech Park Day was held in Vitebsk.

In the framework of the event there was held a grand opening of a joint educational and practical lab VSU-EPAM in the Math Department of Masherov Vitebsk State University.

Opening the next joint lab is a contribution of the company EPAM Systems, which is Hi-Tech Park resident-company №1, to the development of the educational facilities of Masherov VSU.
The lab will host classes within the academic curriculum of the university as well as in-depth studies which were developed by top specialists of EPAM Systems.

This is the seventh lab which launched by EPAM Systems in 2007. Such joint labs successfully work in Minsk (BSUIR, BSU, BNTU), Mogilev (Belarusian-Russian University), Gomel (Francisk Skorina Gomel State University), Grodno (Yanka Kupala Grodno State University). It is also planned to launch such a training center in Brest.

Deputy director of the Hi Tech Park Administration Alexander Martinkevich made a presentation of the Hi Tech Park and a round-table discussion for representatives of Math and Computer Science Departments of the universities of Vitebsk and the Vitebsk Region, as well as for representatives of Vitebsk companies working in the field of software development and information technologies.

During the round-table discussion, major issues of effective coordination between the higher education system and IT labour market were discussed. The leaders of Vitebsk companies got acquainted with the terms and the procedure of registration as Hi Tech Park residents and had an opportunity to receive the information they were interested in.
