| On October 12, 2007 a joint training and research computer laboratory was inaugurated at the Math and Computer Science Department of Yanka Kupala Grodno Sate University (GrSU-EPAM).
Setting up the Hi Tech Park gave impetus to an active implementation of information and communication technologies by companies and State bodies, which resulted in the increase in demand for qualified software developers. Today it is a priority field and it enjoys popularity not only in the capital of the country but also in the regional centers.

EPAM Systems, under the auspices of the High Tech Park Administration took some practical steps to fill the gap in qualified specialists by its contribution to improving the educational basis of Yanka Kupala GrSU. A joint training and research computer laboratory was inaugurated at the Math and Computer Science Department of this university.
Studies within the university academic curriculum will be held in the lab as well as in-depth and facultative studies developed by the leading specialists of EPAM Systems. The third, fourth and fifth year students, will be able to take advantage of specially developed educational projects and to acquire practical skills in software development, to learn more about project risks, version management as well as the principles and methods of working with customers.
Konstantin Golunko, head of Grodno office of EPAM Systems, says:

Staring a joint lab will help to bring the education as close as possible to the requirements of the modern business ensuring the possibility of training here, in Grodno, IT specialists, whose qualifications would meet the world standards”.
