| Hi Tech Park
and Technopolis (Finland) extend their cooperation
On August 24, 2007 a presentation of one
of the world largest technological parks operators – the company
Technopolis (Finland) - was held in the Hi Tech Park for its resident companies.
The presentation was delivered by Ms. Mervi Katariina Kaki,
executive director of the Finnish technological park Technopolis
Oyj.
In May 2007 an Agreement for Cooperation was signed in Finland
between the Belarusian Hi Tech Park and the Finnish
park Technopolis.
The model of setting up and managing private techno parks,
developed and implemented by the group of companies “Technopolis”,
is extremely interesting and useful because it represents
a high-performance mechanism of public-private sector cooperation
which proved its efficiency through the 25 years of the company’s
development. The negotiations held resulted in the agreement
on providing consulting services by the Finnish techno park
in the process of development of the Belarusian Hi Tech Park modern infrastructure.
During her visit to Belarus Ms. Mervi Katariina Kaki also
visited HTP resident companies and got acquainted with the
potential of the Belarusian IT industry.
