On April 10 our delegation, headed by the director of the Hi Tech Park Valery Tsepkalo, took part in the international workshop on planning, construction and managing Hi Tech Parks in Beijing (China).
The workshop was organized by the Ministry of Science and Technologies of the People's Republic of China. The delegation included representatives of the Ministry of Education, State Committee for Science and Technologies, Scientific and Technical Park “Metolit” of Belarusian National Technical University, universities, scientific and research institutions and scientific parks of Minsk, Gomel, Mogilev, Vitebsk, Grodno.
On April 12 Chinese Center of Science and Technologies became the venue of the ceremony of signing the cooperation agreement between Belarusian Hi Tech Park and the Park “Zinan” (Shandon Province).
The park Zinan was founded in 1991. Its territory is 120 square kilometers, the Park hosts 18 universities, 50 techno parks and about 3000 companies producing hi-tech product. IT account for more than 50 per cent of its production.
The aim of the project is best practice exchange and cooperation between the two parks in the sphere of information and communications technologies.
The same day the Belarusian delegation, headed by Valery Tsepkalo, visited the leading IT and software development park of the People's Republic of China - Beijing Scientific Park. During the visit a cooperation agreement between the Administration of Belarus Hi Tech Park and Beijing Scientific Park was signed.
Beijing Scientific Park was founded in 1999. It has more than 3000 resident companies working in the sphere of information technologies, software development and IT-services. More than 100 000 people are employed in the Park. The aim of the agreement is mutually beneficial cooperation and creation of hi-tech productions in Belarus and China.
Belarusian delegation highly appreciated the progress of the People's Republic of China in creation of scientific parks. The parties agreed to intensify cooperation, exchange technologies and contribute to a long-term, sustainable and mutually beneficial cooperation.
